Sales Representative

Northeast Air Products is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our growing team.

 

The Sales Representative is responsible for growing the sales performance and market share of the HVAC equipment Northeast Air Products represents within the Rochester, Buffalo, Albany and Syracuse markets.

 

This is a hybrid sales and project management role, focused on growing commercial and industrial ventilation product sales. A successful sales representative combines industry expertise, product knowledge, and interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with contractors and customers, ensuring project goals and outcomes are achieved.

 

This role requires a proven track record of successfully increasing revenue, along with strong organization, time-management and communication capabilities.

 

This is a hybrid on-premises position in our Rochester office, along with regional travel and remote work. Exact details to be refined based on hire location.

 

Expectations:

  • Manage and grow existing contractor and customer relationships, understanding each company’s operations, structure, and needs.

  • Develop new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial ventilation space, understanding relevant market and industry trends.

  • Possess a keen understanding of all represented products, working with leadership, manufacturers, and engineers to get equipment specified.

  • Work cohesively with internal team and external stakeholders; manufacturers and suppliers, engineers, architects, contractors, and end-users to ensure successful execution throughout project entirety.

  • Analyze construction plans, specifications and schedules; select products and prepare accurate project proposals and bids.

  • Follow-up with customers throughout the entire sales and project lifecycle.

  • Along with project management team, oversee key project management functions including; cost–analysis, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.

  • Positively represent the company in all interactions.

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation, with keen attention to detail and adherence to process, protocols, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers, conveying a sense of professionalism, product knowledge, fairness, and integrity.

  • Aptitude to learn new product information for represented brands.

  • Regularly report on project progress and financial status to Senior Project Managers and/or executive leadership.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The typical base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000 annually in Upstate NY, depending on experience, qualifications, and role alignment. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position is categorized.

 

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a commission-based incentive compensation plan tied to individual and company performance. Total compensation will vary based on sales results and achievement of performance objectives.

 

The salary range listed represents a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position in accordance with New York State law. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, and geographic considerations.
